MRPS leader Manda Krishna recently launched a tirade against Kantri producer and director for showing the dalits in poor light in a scene in the film. He took strong objection to those scenes and asked the concerned to tender an apology and issued a deadline to delete the scenes.
Maher Ramesh director of the film responded positively to his warning and edited the episode mentioned and apologized for hurting the sentiments of backward castes..

Morning Show Muchatlu - Gorintaku

After a dashing role of a police officer in Evadaite Nakenti, Rajashekar makes a subdued appearance in Gorintaku, the remake of a kannada hit Anna Thangi. Gorintaku is a weepy, sentimental drama that revolves around the brother-sister relationship and director VR Pratap takes full advantage of the emotionally fertile premise and dishes out old wine in a new bottle.
Rajashekar plays a dual role. After his death, his children Rajashekar and Meera Jasmine grow up to be good people in the village but things go wrong once they are married. An old lady who claims to be a relative seeks an entry into Rajshekar’s home and begins to disintegrate the family. She actually is out to take vengeance and that flash back is revealed too soon, she then creates difference between Meera jasmine and Aarti Agarwal (Rajshekar’s wife)and between Meera and her husband’s family. By the time Rajshekar realises that something is going wrong, it’s too late.
The archaic story is ridiculously melodramatic but the B and C class audiences might find it absorbing for all the family values and all that emotional terrain that the director covers. The climax is little too hard to accept, the director chooses to avoid a feel good ending and bumps off the siblings in the climax, to justify the brother-sister bonding. There is no attempt to make the story look different or breathe life to this extended sob story that resembles one of Ekta Kapoor’s serials.
Meera Jasmine looks pretty benefits from having the best-written character in the film, Aarti Agarwal is obese but does her part well. Meaningless role it is for Rajashekar and all he had to do in the film is look conventional, unobtrusive and most of the time sad or happy. A few numbers are watchable and technically it fails to make a mark. Overall, if you’re a sucker for sentiment, love those sweet and sad ensemble dramas then Gorintaku is the film for you, but there is surely some potential for a much better film waiting in this genre.

Kuberulu

Final schedule of 'Kuberulu' (Veeriki Annee Appule), directed by Srinivasa Reddy and produced by Karuturi Srinivas and Yaganti Srinivas on the banner of Godavari Talkies with Sivaji, Krishna Bhagawan, Farjana and Kausha in the lead was launched recently in Hyderabad.
Producers say, 'We are planning to shoot some chasing sceens in Hyderabad under the direction of fight master Ganesh.'
Director Srinivasa Reddy says, 'The film will have my mark comedy and at the same time it will run with a different screenplay. The film would turn interesting with the chasing formula. It is the story of two youth, who borrow money and articles from others and try to keep off from those who gave them money. How and why they did such work is the basic theme of the movie.'

Was surfing through the channels and just heard LP question how Nandamuri family had accepted NTR who is termed ‘illegal’. I recollect having seen her at CARE where NBK was hospitalised. She walked in without any feeling of anguish but when the TV channels surrounded her suddenly she behaved like a seasoned actress with tears welling up in her eyes and said that she had come to see her son.

Wonder what she did with all those sarees she got as gifts from guests, ministers etc. We even heard a rumour that she was so fed up with so many sarees that she sold nearly a truck loaded with them to a mall owner who was in the silk business. Sridhar’s cartoons in Eenadu were like a feast, the one particularly that stood out was …..she is climbing the seven hills, after her wedding, with bodyguards and her ears studded with diamonds captured one’s attention. Hmmm, there was also a talk that her booty was with a person in the industry who was considered a confidante of the Late Leader, and she never got that back.

LP might have her set of fans but she will be remembered as the lady who brought disgrace and was cause of the denouement.

Lawrence goes for 6 heroines and 6 villans

Lawrence the choreographer turned actor and director is still hopeful of making it big, though his latest films Don as director and Pardu as hero bombed at the box-office. Now the acrobatic dancer has decided to do a Tamil film, which will be directed by Sakthi Chidambaram.

The director feels Lawrence is not only an excellent dancer but also his action scenes too are well choreographed. In his latest film Lawrence will have to fight six villains, and dance with six heroines! Lawrence is also planning to do some never before dance in Rajathi Raja.

Chiru Party Comming On This JULY

Srikakulam turned a Mega Hub with the arrival of Nagababu as a part of pre-promotion of Chiranjeevi's yet to be announced party. puli shooting in Naxal Area

Last week puli shoot has been taken place at saroornagar in hyderbad in big school ground. Now the shoot of Pawan Kalyan's Puli is under brisk shoot at the thick forests of Talakona in Chittoor district. The shoot will continue for the next five days. A temple set is erected at the forest for this purpose. The news of film shoot spread like wildfire and it brought hoards of fans and enthusiasts from a score of villages. Much to their disappointment, they couldn't find Pawan Kalyan, but a small boy. Hero's childhood episode is being under shoot. Camping at the local forest guest house, the unit is being instructed to take extra precautions in view of the naxalite problem in the area.

The movie is directed by Hari Babu and the music is scored by Vandemataram Srinivas.The hero of the film Venu is supported by two leading ladies in Deepawali.Aarti Agarwal is one of the heroines and a model from Kerala, Megha Nair is taking her first step into acting through this film. This film produced by T.Kripakar Reddy was launched on November 1, 2007.Speaking on the audio launch, Telugu Film Producers Council President, Tammareddy Bharadwaja said that Vandemataram Srinivas always tries to make music that strike a chord with every kind of people in the society. He unveiled the audio CD and presented it to actor Subbaraju.Subbaraju officially released the audio cassette and presented it to Mr.Bharadwaja. None of the lead actors attended the audio launch function because of their busy schedules.Film financier Kripalkar Reddy talking about the lead actors said that the character played by Venu will be very different and better than any of his previous roles in other films.

Balakrishna,NTR for 'Hare Ram' audio launch

All the artistes from the Nandamuri clan are likely to appear together on a single dais on June 28 at the audio release function of Kalyanram's 'Hare Ram'.
It is learnt that Balakrishna, NT Rama Rao were invited as chief guests for the audio release function. Nandamuri Harikrishna is also likely to participate in the audio release function.
With the recent political developments, the step brothers, Kalyanram and NT Rama Rao were moving a little close with each other, as the latter is being invited for the family functions and Kalyanram is attending the film-related functions of his brother NTR.
Kalyanram had planned the audio release function in a big way. Harshavardhan is directing the movie while Priyamani played the female lead and Mickey J Meyer scored music.
The film is likely to hit screen in July.

Ram's Next Movie Is Maskaa

Ram, who entered the Telugu film industry through Devadasu directed and produced by YVS Choudhary, gave a big hit with his debut film. However, he faced a failure through Jagadam of Sukumar. Like a ball that hit the wall, Ram bounced back with another thunderous hit through Ready directed by Sreenu Vaitla.Presently, he is enjoying the success of his latest film. Even as Ready is on sets, he signed the dotted line for a film to be produced by MS Raju under the banner of Sumanth Arts under the direction of senior director B Gopal, while Hansika Motwani is pairing up with this young hero.It is learnt that the producer MS Raju has recently registered two titles Maskaa and Rascal in the Film Chamber. The unit is considering one among them as the title for the film. One has to wait and watch, which one would be finalised for Ram's movie

Katrina Kaif in 'Puli

It is well aware that the shooting of 'Puli' was postponed due to the accident occurred to its director SJ Surya during the shooting of a Tamil film.
The Pawan Kalyan-starrer, Puli, produced by Singanamala Ramesh on the banner of Sri Kanakaratna Movies is likely to go to sets in July.
Though Parvati Melton was selected as the second heroine of the movie, the selection of main heroine is yet to be done. It is worth mentioning here that Karina Kapoor and Priyanka were first contacted for the heroine slot but they expressed their inability as they were otherwise busy in Hindi films.
Later, Sneha Ullal, a look alike of Aiswarya was contacted and the name of Hansika was also under consideration.
Now gossips are doing rounds in Film Nagar circles that the unit is planning to rope in Katrina Kaif as heroine. It is learnt that Pawan Kalyan personally spoke to Katrina Kaif and offered her the chance but the latter did not assure him anything immediately.
