Mahatma' gets release date

The new movie 'Mahatma' which marks the hundredth film of family star Srikanth and being made under the direction of the ace movie maker Krishna Vamsi is currently reaching the final stages of its making. Meanwhile, news has arrived that the makers have decided to release the film on a special day. That would be October 2nd, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and given the relevance of the theme, they say it would be special.

Adurs' busy at RFC

The new movie tentatively titled 'Adurs' marks the comeback of sorts for young tiger NTR Jr. Apparently, he has been off the hook due to the election campaign and the terrible accident. Now, he has been working hard to make up for the time loss and sources say that the shooting has been on at the famous Ramoji film city where a massive set has been erected. The film is being directed by V V Vinayak and junior would be seen in a dual role, as per sources.

Shankam releasing on September 4

Ongoing Gopichand-Trisha starrer Shankam (also spelt Sankham), directed by cameraman-turned-director Shiva, is set to release on September 4. The audio will be released on August 15.

Touted to be a mass entertainer with action, romance, drama, sentiment and comedy, Shankam is jointly produced by Bhagavan and Pullarao under the banner of Balaji Cine Media.

Sathyaraj, a major star in Kollywood, is playing Gopichand’s father in this film, while Chandramohan, Dharmavarapu, Ali, Venu Madhav, M.S. Narayana, L.B. Sriram, Raghunatha Reddy, Sitha, Rajitha, Sakunthal and Radha Kumari will be seen in the supporting cast. Taman scores the music. Vetri handles the camera. Dialogues are by Anil and Ravipudi. Art is by Vivek and editing is by Marthand K. Venkatesh.(galatta)

Gopichand pairs with Anushka again

Aggressive hero Gopichand who has been scoring hit after hit is currently busy with the wrapping up of his new movie ‘Sankham’. Meanwhile, there is news that he has been roped in for a new venture by the famous RR Movie makers of ‘Kick’ fame.

The producer of this happens to be Venkat and he has announced that Gopi would be pairing up with none other than the luscious beauty Anushka. Both Gopi and Anushka have already delivered a hit with ‘Lakshyam’ and right now, the RR Team is working on deciding the other cast and crew for the film.

The movie is presented by K Atchi Reddy while Co- Producer is V Suresh Reddy.
