Bala Krishna and Trisha pairs up for Hara Hara Mahadeva

Nandamuri Bala Krishna will pair up using the pretty actress Trisha in his next film titled Hara Hara Mahadeva. Though Trisha has been around Tollywood from years, the actress has not got the opportunity to work with Bala Krishna while she paired up with the top heroes Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna.
The actress has now got the opportunity to pair up with Yuvaratna in Hara Hara Mahadeva to be directed through B. Gopal and produced by Bellamkonda Suresh on Sri Sai Ganesh Shows banner. Paruchuri Brothers are penning the story for the film. Other information on cast and crew are yet to be announced by the filmmakers.

As of this moment, Bala Krishna’s two films Sri Rama Rajyam and Hara Hara Maha Deva are gearing up for that release.

Money Money More Money Movie Review

Rating : 1.25/5
Banner : Chekravarthy Productions
Cast : J D Chekravarthy, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, Mukul Dev, Kavin Dev, Tara Alisha, Ghajala, Rajeev Kanakala, Venu Madhav, Subbaraju, Nagababu, Mayuri, Rama Prabha, Jeeva, Senthil, Shashank and Others
Music : Chakri
Cinematographer : Bharani K Dharan
Producer: K Satyanarayana
Director: J D Chekravarthy
Released Date: August 26, 2011

Story:
A worthless tale, the story begins with four friends Chakry, Abbas, Raghu, Gogi (JD, Mukul Dev, Brahmaji, Kavin Dev) who are going through tough times and need money to come out of their problems. They plan a kidnap and get hold of Maggie (tara alisha), daughter of a rich businessman. For hiding her, they choose the house of Khan Dada (brahmanandam) who was once a successful real estate dealer but now a broke man. Chakry and gang also lock up Khan and his family members along with few others (mayuri, Rajeev kanakala, rama prabha, venu madhav, jeeva etc) in his house and demand ransom from Maggie’s father. While the amount gets arranged, doubts, greed and suspicion begin to take over. Whether they are successful in their kidnap plan or not forms the rest of the story.

Presentation:
The director has come up with a thoughtless storyline and while the presentation was okay, the narrative was horrendous. The dialogues were weak, the script was spineless and the screenplay was pathetic. Background score was alright and only one songs was there. Cinematography was the saving grace. Editing was regular. Costumes didn’t have much work to do while the art department was normal. JD came up with a standard performance and he was natural. Brahmanandam was good at places. Mukul Dev was effective. Kavin Dev was upto the mark. Tara Alisha is sexy and glamorous. Ghajala looks chubby. Mayuri still has that erotic quotient. Rajeev Kanakala was regular, Jeeva was not used properly, Venu Madhav was funny, Senthil brought few smiles, the others filled the screen.
Money Money More Money Filem Review

Conclusion:
Though the film has been marketed as the continuation to the famous ‘Money’ series, there is no comparison between to them and this. While the first half goes about with the regular crass of characters and the plot, the second half goes about with some confusing sequences and mindless comedy. Overall, there is not a single point where the audience really connects to the film. The total blame goes on the director for his inability to handle the subject. At the box office, the film will find it hard to survive.

Review : Money Money More Money

Release date: 26 August 2011
telugua1movies Rating : 2.5/5
Director :  J D Chakravarthy
Producer : K Satyanarayana
Music Director :Chakri
Starring: J D Chakravarthy , Bramanandam, Gajala, Shashank , Tara Alisha , Asha Saini

J.D. Chakravarthy, Brahmanandam and Brahmaji team up to revive the iconic ‘Money’ franchise. This movie is titled ‘Money Money More Money’ so let us see if it can bring more laughs than the original cult comedies ‘Money’ and ‘Money Money’.
Story : The movie is a remake of the Hindi film ‘Darwaja Bandh Rakho’, a film directed by J.D. Chakravarthy himself. That Hindi movie itself was a remake of a Korean drama “Attack the gas station”. The story revolves around four unemployed youths (J.D.Chakravarthy, Brahmaji, Kevin Dev and Mukul Dev) who face severe monetary difficulties. After having had enough, they decide to kidnap a rich man’s daughter to make a quick buck.
They choose Maggie(Tara Alisha), the daughter of a rich builder Jagadeesh, and abduct her. They barge into the house of Khan Dada (Brahmanandam), who is a real estate magnate in business difficulties. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the kidnapping goes haywire and the gang is forced to hold out for a while to receive the money.
Trisha the sales girl (Gajala), Sankara Bharanam the pizza guy (Venu Madhav), a police constable (Rajiv Kanakala), financier Shetty (Jeeva) and a few others who make routine visits to Khan Dada’s house are also taken hostage to prevent the news of the kidnap from leaking out. The rest of the story is about how the gang of four kidnappers manage the proceedings and whether they earn the money from Maggie’s dad.
What is good : The movie will draw decent openings because of the lineage it belongs to. The films ‘Money’ and ‘Money Money’ still enjoy considerable following in Andhra Pradesh for their iconic characters and screenplay.Brahmanandam’s Khan Dada is almost a cult figure.
Some flashes of good comedy in between and towards the climax bring much needed relief. J.D. Chakravarthy and Brahmaji turn in a decent performance and Gajala looks good on screen. The short screen romance between Gajala and Brahmaji is nice.Venu Madhav tries extremely hard and manages to bring a few laughs. Kevin Dev’s histrionics are good.
Special appearances by Nagababu, Chakravarthi, Chandra Mohan and Shashank break the monotony and Shashank’s bit before the interval is a nice surprise.
What is bad : This movie has no relation whatsoever either in content or in style to the movies after which it is named. Only the names of the characters Khan Dada and Chakri are taken from the franchise. This is a totally different story.
The storyline is wafer thin and so the onus is on the comedy department to keep the proceedings lively. Sadly, they fail miserably. As I said earlier, there are a few flashes of good comedy, but they are few and far between.
Fans of the Khan Dada character will be hurt big time. This is a very different Khan Dada. Perhaps, J.D. Chakravarthy should have stayed away from naming Brahmanandam’s character that way. It is an insult to the work done by Siva Nageswara Rao and Brahmanandam in 1993 and 1995. Brahmanandam looks silly and is a big let down.
Brahmaji is a master at bringing about laughter with his understated comedy timing and Chakravarthy should have utilized him better.
Tara Alisha’s performance is atrocious and she is a major handicap for the film. Most of the time, there is zero co-ordination between her mouth and the dubbing. Rama Prabha’s attempts at comedy through her broken english sound feeble. Mukul Dev’s expressions are wooden. Asha Sanini aka Mayuri is wasted and so is Jeeva. Tamil comedian Senthil should have stayed away from this silly character.
The less said about the illogical climax, the better it is for all of us.
Technical Departments: Screenplay is a big let down. So are the dialogues. A tighter screenplay and wittier dialogues would have done wonders for this movie. Background score by Chakri is nothing to write home about and scores from earlier Telugu films are used liberally in the narrative. Cinematography keeps wavering from interesting to shoddy throughout the film.
Editing is average and production values are just about ok.
Analysis : J.D. should have stayed away from naming this movie after the ‘Money’ franchise. Neither the characters nor the style of narrative justify this decision. The audience will come in with a lot of expectations because of that name and they will be very disappointed. Perhaps, if the name was different and if the movie was promoted as a regular film, things would not have been so bad.
The movie was a failure in Hindi and it is easy to see why. What should have been a witty and fun movie turns out into buffoonery and is a stale offering. A few scenes in the climax show flashes of genuinely good humour and that hints at what a nice offering this could have been.

Daggaraga Dooramga –Review

Release date: 26 August 2011
telugua1movies Rating : 2.25/5
Director :  Ravi Kumar Chavali
Producer : J Sambhasiva Rao
Music Director :Raghu Kunche
Starring: Sumanth , Vedhika, Bramanandam and others

Sumanth’s latest film Daggaraga Dooramga is about how a guy finds himself in trouble when a model he creates on his computer comes alive in real life. Vedhicka C Kumar played the lead role in this action love story which touches upon themes like love and terrorism. Directed by Ravi Kumar Chavali, the film was produced by J Sambasiva Rao and the makers touted that it’s a sensible film. Let’s see if the film lives up to its promise.
What’s the story: Gautham (Sumanth) is a creative director at Rainbow Advertising Agency. He impresses his boss and clients with his creative concepts. During one assignment, when he doesn’t come across the perfect face he wants, he ‘creates’ a new face on his computer thanks to ‘Photoshop’. His creation a rage in the market and he calls her Kamakshi. However, he doesn’t realize that there’s a girl named Meenakshi (Vedhicka) who looks exactly like Gautham’s creation. Elsewhere, a group of terrorists plan to create mayhem in Hyderabad and a journalist, Zarina (Sindhu Tholani) tries to investigate this entire issue. The rest of the story is about how Gautham, Meenakshi and Zarina’s lives intertwine which results in a cat-and-mouse chase.
Daggaraga Dooramga is an interesting concept to begin with. Probably the only original thing which the film even attempts is the hero creating a new face on his computer only to realize later on that she actually exists. However, the moment the story shifts to terrorists, the film moves on extremely predictable lines. The characters are clichéd that except for scheming to blow up railway stations and killing people, these terrorists do not show any intelligence. Even their dialogues seem to be ripped off from kazillion other stories based on terrorists.
Another problem with the story is it packs in too many things and it seems implausible for the timeline it is based in. On one hand, there are people running for their lives, yet the lead characters find time to interact and get to know each other, which eventually blossoms into a love story. And on the other hand, Jhonny (Brahmanandam) joins the chaos all of a sudden to provide comic relief. The screenplay goes for a toss as the terrorists keep aside their plans and indulge in ‘comedy’ with Jhonny. The major crux of the story, about why it’s wrong to kill innocent people, moves on predictable lines with random people screaming about teaching terrorists a lesson. The biggest drawback of the film is its lack of engaging drama and slow pace with songs popping at odd occasions.
Sumanth tries hard to capture the mood of the story as it swings from a romcom to an action thriller; however, there’s absolutely no intensity in his characterization. He looks more helpless and too smitten to come across the girl of his imagination rather on concentrating on how to solve a problem. Vedhicka exudes great charm but with so much chaos throughout the film, she hardly has a chance to make a good impression. Sindhu Tolani’s role is short-lived and even she looks clueless in her role. None of the other characters including Raghu Babu, Krishna Bhagavan and Satyam Rajesh stand out either.
