It is well aware that the shooting of 'Puli' was postponed due to the accident occurred to its director SJ Surya during the shooting of a Tamil film.The Pawan Kalyan-starrer, Puli, produced by Singanamala Ramesh on the banner of Sri Kanakaratna Movies is likely to go to sets in July.
Though Parvati Melton was selected as the second heroine of the movie, the selection of main heroine is yet to be done. It is worth mentioning here that Karina Kapoor and Priyanka were first contacted for the heroine slot but they expressed their inability as they were otherwise busy in Hindi films.
Later, Sneha Ullal, a look alike of Aiswarya was contacted and the name of Hansika was also under consideration.
Now gossips are doing rounds in Film Nagar circles that the unit is planning to rope in Katrina Kaif as heroine. It is learnt that Pawan Kalyan personally spoke to Katrina Kaif and offered her the chance but the latter did not assure him anything immediately.
