'Billa' to release on April 3

The long wait for Telugu ‘Billa’ is coming to an end. The Prabhas film, directed by Mehar Ramesh will hit the theatres on April 3, sources say.

The film is a remake of the Ajith starrer with the same title. The Tamil film, directed by Vishnuvardhan, was one of the most stylish films Kollywood had seen. Mehar Ramesh has tried his best to make a film as technically perfect and stylish as Vishnuvardhan’s, if not more, sources say.

Anushka will reprise the famous bikini-act done by Nayantara in Tamil ‘Billa’ and Namitha plays the other female lead. Mani Sharma scores the music for the film.

Billa audio launch

The audio release function of Prabhas Billa took place yesterday evening at Silpa Kala Vedika, Hyderabad. The audio of Billa was released to a packed auditorium. Dasari Narayana Rao, Murali Mohan, Allu Arjun, Gopichand, SS Rajamouli and VV Vinayak were among the guest who attended the Billa audio release function. The cast and crew of Billa were also present for the function who included Prabhas, Krishnam Raju, Namitha, Meher Ramesh.

Dasari Narayana Rao released the music of Billa and handed over the music copies to all the guests who were present on the dias.

Speaking on the ocassion, Dasari praised Krishnam Raju for his never compromise attitude on production values. He also said that Prabhas is the correct heir for Krishnam Raju.

SS Rajamouli praised Prabhas by saying that Prabhas is the Hrithik Roshan of South Indian films. He also praised director Meher Ramesh for making such a stylish flick in-par with Hollywood standards. Allu Arjun also spoke and said that Prabhas is his favorite hero outside his family heroes and also added that Prabhas is 6-feet standard gold at heart.

The function ended on a happy note…

Prabhas, Krishnam Raju, Anushka, Namitha and Hansika (item number) are doing the lead roles in Billa movie. Meher Ramesh is directing the movie. Praboth is producing the movie on Gopi Krishna Movies banner. Mani Sharma is composing the music and Lahari audio company is releasing it into the market.

The audio of Billa will be available in the market from 20th and the movie will mostly be released on April 3rd.
