Raviteja in “Ladies Tailor” sequel?

Through the news is not confirmed yet, as per the sources it is said to be true and about to happen soon. Crazy star Ravi Teja signed a new film awhich is planned to be a sequel to yester year’s comedy flick ‘Ladies Tailor’, under the direction of Vamsy, who directed the Old one too.It is heard that…the old ladies tailor would turn into a Fashion Designer now.Yeah…good guess…this new film’s title would be “Fashion Designer”. A complete different image picture for Ravi Teja isn’t it?




Actually this film’s proposal was made last year it seems.But due to some reasons, it never took shape.But recently, Raviteja asked Vamsy to make the script ready.Which has been started recently by Vamsy.Due to his latest flick “Saradaga Kasepu”, Vamsy held that script work for a while. As “Saradaga Kasepu” has come out last week and not fared well, he started working more harder on one of his lovable subjects “Ladies Tailor”.



This picture is likely to commence only once Ravi Teja finishes his two projects”Mirapakaay” and ” Veera” which are under production right now.

Story

An okay tale told well, the story begins with Ranga Babu (naresh) who is a driver. He is also the childhood friend of Srinivas (srinivas) who hails from a wealthy family and lives in the US. The time comes for Srinivas to come to India and get married. His parents (jeeva, sana) decide to get him married to Manimala (madhurima), daughter of Raja Rao (ahuti) who lives in another place. However, Srinivas wants to test the girl's nature so he becomes the driver and asks Ranga Babu to take his place. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.



Performances:



Allari Naresh steals the show as usual with his dialogue delivery and expressions,



Madhurima looks sexy but then her styling was not done well,



Srinivas was good and made his presence felt, Jeeva was good, Sana was standard,



Ahuti Prasad gives few worthy lines, Jayaprakash Reddy was not used to his caliber, Krishna Bhagawan brings few smiles, M S is moderate. The others did their bit as required.



Analysis

The director has come up with a nothing storyline but then it was his presentation and narrative that pulls the film along. The dialogues are witty at many places, the script was okay and screenplay was adequate. Background score was apt and three songs were melodious. Cinematography was upto the mark. Costumes were poor and the art department was creative.



The film is a typical Vamsi trademark movie so those who understand his flavor will connect to it well. While the first half is alright and not very engaging, it is the second half which picks up and gives a lot of funny moments. The entertainment quotient is high this time and though it was coming in parts, it is expected from Vamsi's film. This will appeal to those who wish to see a light hearted no logic movie. At the box office, it could be an average or an above average grosser.



 Just ok for time pass as the title sounds.

BalaKrishna’s new film under ‘Sri Keerthi Combines’ banner was launched on August 27th at Rama Naidu Studios, Hyderabad.




The movie will be produced by ML Kumar Chowdary and Kalyan malik will be scoring the music while Vijay C Kumar handles cinematography.



The latest news is that good looking actress Bhumika is going to pair up with Balakrishna for the first time in this film.The regular shooting of this untitled movie will commence from 24th of this month. Currently, special sets are being built at Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.

Amidst huge expectations and chaotic atmosphere to procure a ticket, I walked in to the theater to watch the most awaited flick ‘Komaram Puli’. Much to the dismay I experienced an old formula scene in the introduction. The pregnant lady…police station..police atrocity…Murugan temple…divine light…mother teaching left-right marching to the growing baby in her womb…baby responding to that…..labor pains…villain chasing…lady falling into a flowing water body…giving birth to the hero!!! That is good way to pull mass pulse, but I wondered if I were watching a mythological film!!!



The grown up hero (Pawan Kalyan) introduces himself with a ‘heavy dosed action scene’ typically branded as South Indian masala. Pawan Kalyan is looking good in uniform but his body language didn’t match perfectly to that of a tough cop.



To say the story in brief, Puli (Pawan Kalyan) is the son of a betrayed mother (Saranya). The mother nurtures him with valor and makes him a police officer. He is very sincere and tough. He saves the life of Indian Prime Minister Samarasimha Rao (Girish Karnad) from international terrorists when the latter visits Bangkok. PM felicitates him amidst entire Police Community, but Puli asks him to give a few tough police officers to bring change in the nation and people and keep the pride of India high. PM agrees for that and introduces ‘Puli Team’. What Puli Team does to society? That forms major chunk of the movie. In the narration, the main theme gets connected to the family vengeance of Puli. Climax reveals to Puli that his father was killed by a few selfish police officers and a mafia kingpin Al Saleem (Manoj Bajpai). How Puli traps Al Saleem forms the final twist.



Pawan’s lengthy dialogues are like puzzles. His rendition is also swift although at times sounded like that of Chiranjeevi fully. Many times, he tried to imitate Rajni Kanth in delivering fast paced dialogues. But he missed clarity in that attempt. The dialogues are also didactic. Pawan Kalyan sounded like an emotional professor in taking classes but not as cop. Director should be blamed for that and not Pawan.



Above all, it’s only SJ Suryah who spoiled the dish completely without proper depth in narration.



There are innumerable flaws and gaps in the film. I didn’t understand the uniform that Pawan Kalyan wears-sometimes khakhi and sometimes olive green. Ali’s comedy is mediocre and miniscule. Manoj Bajpai’s over action as villain diluted the seriousness.





Coming to the best part in the movie-



* Nikesha Patel is the right choice for the film and she looked really pleasant through out. It is she who can hook the audiences to screen to some extent.

* Sharanya as mother is superb. Her dialogues are impressive. She could act with proper balance in every scene.

* The other scene-stealer in the movie is Shriya. Her item song is good but the role is very short lived.

* Cinematography and graphics work deserve great commendation.



On a whole, the content and narrative style sounded normal although the production values and technical adroitness are impressive.



I hardly understood why such huge sum was shelled out in making a movie without proper content. First half is average while second half makes audience look at their watches. It’s a 2 hr 40 min marathon that ends up with suffocation.



Sign-Off Note: Pawan Kalyan keeps on saying a dialogue about ‘sankalpam’. This movie can be watched till the end only by those who wish to sit with ‘sankalpam’.
