The latest film of Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna with dusky damsel Priyamani in the female lead is finishing its shoot at rapid pace and almost nearing completion. The film is directed by Mahadev and produced by Sivaram Prasad. Melody Bramha Manisharma is composing the music for this flick and the audio would be released in the first week of March. The latest buzz in film nagar is that the makers are considering the title 'Mitrudu' for the film. The producer is putting all the efforts to release the film in the second week of April.

The hottest buzz in film nagar is that Prince Mahesh Babu is likely to appear in guest role for the latest flick 'Kavya's Dairy'. This film is produced by his sister Manjula on Indira movies banner and Manjula is also acting in the film along with Charmee and Shashank. After 'Athidhi', Mahesh did not act in any movies apart from his voiceover in Power Star Pawan Kalyan starrer 'Jalsa' in 2008. If it becomes real then Mahesh fans will storm the theatres to get glimpse of him.

Story:

Inspector Dayanand (Jagapathi Babu) is a sincere and persevering officer who cleanses the society with his gun. He wins Presidential Award as an encounter specialist. There will be envy of fellow officers around him for the popularity he gets among police circles and public. He struggles between his ideologies and apparent politics within his department. But he loses his wife followed by strife with a mafia don. He finds the culprit amidst a popular assumption, and finally puts an end to his life using his intelligence. How he does all that is the main theme of this flick.

Presentation:

Jagapathi Babu forms the center of this film and his silhouette is perfectly in tune with the role he played. The perfection is seen in his body. The dialogues delivered and the expressions used are very well within the limits without any artificial histrionics. Sindhu Menon played the female lead in the movie but there are no routine dances with jatkas and matkas. Everybody in the film has underplayed with balanced act. Mukul Dev needs appreciation for his cunning role. Subba Raju has no dialogue in the film and he played only with expressions for a few moments. Siva Prasad, the TDP leader has been playing interesting villain roles these days and he played one such role in this flick as a guest artiste. Others are well grooved in the subject. Coming to technical departments, music is used only for back ground and there are no dances in it to make it artificial. Back ground music has perfectly suited the requirement. Editing and Camera work are fine and direction is also reasonable although a copy from Hindi flick.

Conclusion:
Dialogues, screenplay and narration style are directly adopted from Hindi flick Ab Tak Chappan and there are no artificial add-ons to that. JD has taken complete liberties to lift it and use as it was. The famous Hindi dialogue with Nana Patekar when pronouncing the name 'Vaishali' is taken here as 'Padma/ Badma' showing the difference between Andhra and Madrasi pronunciation respectively. Apart from this almost all the scenes were taken as they were from the original. Keeping that aside, it's a rational narration with perfect conviction. Chekravarthy has narrated it straight without any synthetic fabrication.

Siddharth says 'Oye' in summer

The latest flick 'Oye' starring southern stud Siddharth is being directed by Anand who worked as an assistant for Bommarillu. The child artist turned heroine Shamili is making her debut in Tollywood with this film. This is said to be yet another family entertainer and 40% of the shooting is completed. The flick is produced by Danayya under Universal Media banner and he is putting all his efforts to release the film for summer.

The NTR award has been announced for Dasari Narayana Rao for his outstanding contribution to Telugu cinema. Jr. NTR met him at his residence and expressed his congratulations by presenting a bouquet.

Nandi Awards for Telugu Films on Feb 14

HYDERBAD: The Nandi awards for Telugu films for the year 2007 instituted by the state government will be presented at Lalithakalathoranam on February 14 according to the minister for information and public relations A Ramanarayana Reddy.

Talking to media, Reddy said that along with this the NTR national award, Raghupati Venkaiah award and Rajiv Pratibha awards will also be given.

Home minister K Jana Reddy will be the chief guest. Other ministers who would participate in the function are commercial taxes minister K Ramakrishna, energy minister Shabbir Ali and BC welfare minister Mukesh Goud.

Ram Charan’s ‘Magadheera’ In Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam

Allu Arvind is planning his Magadheera release in big way by releasing in three languages, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.

Ramcharan’s second film Magadheera is directed by most successful director SS Rajamouli and Kajal is the heroine. MM Keeravani is tuning the music for this high budget film.

The film will be released simultaneously in Telugu , Tamil and Malayalam in the coming summer (most probably in the first week of April).

On the other hand, supreme Raju is planning to release the audio in the first week of March with 5 lakh audio cassettes and ACDs

Currently, film shoot is progressing at RFC in a specially erected expensive set.

Balayya back in action

After storming the roads of Rayalaseema and Telangana the Natasimham Nandamuri Balakrishna is now back in action for his current film. He rejoined the unit in Hyderabad yesterday and some action sequences and songs will be filmed in and around the city. The film is directed by Mahadev, a disciple of SS Rajamouli and produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad. The dusky damsel and National award winner Priyamani is sharing the screen presence in this one.

Gayam -2' to be launched

It is an old news that crazy director Ram Gopal Varma is getting ready to make a sequel to his super hit film 'Gayam' which showed family hero Jagapathi Babu as an angry young man for the first time in his career. This movie will be directed by debutant director Praveen. The manly star Jagapathi Babu has given an update on this project that he will be start working on Gayam 2 once he finishes the current projects 'Adhineta' and 'Akasamantha'.

The anticipated movie 'Magadheera' directed by SS Rajamouli is getting released this summer in the month of April. Starring Ram Charan Teja and Kajal Agarwal, Allu Arvind is producing the film on Geetha Arts banner.
