Oh, boy! A new welcoming trend is emerging in Tollywood. Guest roles by leading stars in another hero’s films are order of the day. Paving way for a new trend, NTR is doing a very special role in Venkatesh’s forthcoming film Chintakayala Ravi. He is dancing for a special number along with Venkatesh, Nikita (she’s doing a guest role) and others for the movie. Presently, the song shooting is under progress in Hyderabad at a specially erected set.

NTR is very close to the film’s producer Bujji and Venkatesh’s brother Suresh Babu. So, on their request to do the special number composed by Vishal – Sekhar, he immediately said yes.

This is very special combination – Venky and NTR. A proven top star and a rising superstar. It will be definitely an eye-feast on the silver screen this Dussera. Hope other stars follow the similar trend, putting their egos aside like in Bollywood.

Baby Shamili (Anjali papa) turns heroine

Remember Baby Shamili? The cute little girl who gave a fabulous performance in Maniratnam Anjali?

Yeah, the same Shamili is debuting as a heroine with Siddhartha�s yet to be launched film. Directed by debutante Anand, this film will start rolling from October 1.

Shamili, the younger sister of Shalini and hero Rishi (A film by Aravind fame) was often in news for the past two years as the media has been speculating her entry as heroine. That finally came true now.

Shalini proved as a good actress before she got married to Tamil star Ajith Kumar. Rishi is trying hard to make a mark in Telugu and Tamil cinema. We have to wait and see what Shamili has in store as an actress. Let us wish the best for her.

'Vinayakudu' comes as a Dussera gift

The latest release 'Ashta Chamma' directed by Mohana Krishna Indragani has been shortlisted by well known director Shekhar Kammula and has acquired rights for overseas distribution. A fact like this bolsters to the already anticipated flick.

Another well acquainted fact is 'Vinayakudu' made on Prem movies banner is under making. The movie directed by debutant Saikiran who erstwhile a pupil of the successful director Shekhar Kammula, is casting Krishnudu and Sonia, the same person behind the hit 'Happy Days'. This movie produced by Premkumar Patra has come out neat and is expected to hit screens soon.

In the recent days, he rush of this movie was relayed to the representatives of the popular production house Geetha Arts. It is under tentative decision for this movie to be distributed by the banner. Buzz is that the production house will make 'Vinayakudu' out on the celebrative times of Dussera.

Saleem -Ika Dhummu reputhadu

Manchu Vishnuvardhan Babu, who is going to marry Chief Ministers Rajshekar Reddy’s co-brother’s daughter had a cinematic launch of his latest movie Saleem in Taj Deccan yesterday.

The film which features Ileana as a female lead and Mohan Babu in a negative role was clapped by Dasari Narayana Rao.

According to sources, Vishnu is going to wind up this project and will then on prepare for his marriage celebrations. His bride’s name is confirmed as Veronica and the couple was in love from the past one year. Though, Mohan Babu was reluctant to accept the marriage proposal, his near and dear helped him to agree to the alliance.

Vishnu and Veronica will marry in March 2009 and will head for honeymoon in London for a month long stay.

So, with the Movie release and the Marriage alliance in March 2009, Saleem ika definite ga dhummu reputhadu.

Ravi Teja to direct Ram Gopal Varmas film

Actor Ravi Teja is well known as a mass hero. But before his debut in the film industry as a hero, he worked as an assistant director under Ram Gopal Varma. Now, it is reported that Ravi Teja is going to direct a film of Ram Gopal Varma.

Paritala Ravi who was a well known factionist and a TDP leader was brutally murdered in public 5 years ago. His wife Sunitha was much inclined to produce a film with her husband’s life story as the script. But due to some unknown reason she could not succeed in doing so and so she handed over the idea and thoughts to Ram Gopal Varma. Now Ram Gopal Varma is ready with the subject and has asked Ravi Teja to direct this film.

Ravi Teja has accepted this offer and will be directing this film in March 2009. Mohan Babu is going to produce this film and will support the film in all aspects. Ram Gopal Varma will lend some thoughts and will can this film under his banner.

Venkatesh In Kamal's Marmayogi?

These days, unusual combinations are happening in South Indian film industry. Actors from Tamil and Telugu are pairing together to get a wider reach. Nataratna Balakrishna and Yuvasamrat Nagarjuna are going to be seen on the silver screen soon. Both the heroes are going to play vital roles in one film. It will be for the first time that the two big stalwarts of tollywood will be seen in one film. The title for the film is likely to be “Naranarayanulu”. It is also confirmed that versatile director Raghavendra Rao is going to direct this film.

Nagarjuna is planning to produce the film on his home banner “Annapurna” while Raghavendra rao is planning to do it on his home banner RK productions. Nagarjuna will play the character role of Narudu and Balaya babu is going to don the role of Narayanudu. Since two big heroes are going to be featured in one film the investments will be more and the returns will also be more.

After confirming the producer, the director will look out for the female lead. Some sources say that Ramya Krishna, Nagma, Anushka and Tabu may play vital roles in this film. Nayantara may also get the call.

Millitants Attacked BANGARU BABU Unit In J&K

Soubagya Media is making the film Bangaru babu with Jagapathi Babu and Meera Jasmine in the lead roles. The shoot is progressing in Sreenagar in the J & K today,12th August.

While the unit is canning a song sequence at Sona Marg, some militants attacked the film unit, but none were injured.

Jonnalagadda Sreenivas Rao is the director. The unit immediately left to their hotel room. The unit is expected to back in Hyderabad tomorrow.

Tamanna heroine in mahesh varudu ?

As for filmanagar sources, Tamanna , the Happy Days girl Tamanna is to sign a big project Varudu opposite Mahesh Babu.

Though Tamanna is yet to sign on dotted lines, she is almost confirmed to play the main female lead. Pravathi Melton is playing the second heroine role.

The regular shoot will commence on 23rd of August in Rajasthan. A fight sequence and song is planned to film in 30 days schedule of Rajasthan. Trivikram Sreenivas is he director.

Special effects are being added as part of post-production works for 'Aadivishnu',directed by Bharat Parepalli, presented by Dasari Padma and produced by K Ramakrishna Prasad on the banner of Soubhagya Media Ltd., with Dasari Arunkumar and Sneha in the lead.

South Indian Super Star Rajanikanth released the audio of the film into the market recently.

Producer says, 'The film depicts how money and muscle power could change the face of the truth. It is the basic theme of the film. We are making efforts to release the film on August 21.

Suman, Sunil, Pradeep Rawat, Ali, Venumadhav, Prema, Aiswarya and others are in the cast. Music is by MM Srilekha, dialogues are by Rajendra Prasad, lyrics are by Chandrabose, while story and screenplay are by Dasari Narayana Rao.
