Ravi Babu s new films Amaravathi and Agent Gopi
The hit film ‘Allari’ was Ravi Babu’s maiden venture that bought wide fame for Naresh. He followed with hits like ‘Ammayilu Abbailu’, ‘Anasuya’ and the latest being ‘Nachchavule’ starring a debutant lead cast.
The film with its distinct style of promos garnered the attention of the crowd and became a hit at the box office. He is now set to director two films which are uniquely titled as ‘Amaravathi’ and ‘Agent Gopi’. Script for both these flicks is ready and the production work will commence shortly.
Ravi Babu is known for his clean entertainers and with two films in the line we can expect him to enthrall us once again with his style of direction.
GunaSekhar starts with Allu Arjun on 21st March
Maker of big time hits like ‘Bala Ramayanam’, ‘Sogasu Chuda Tharama’, ‘Manoharam’, and ‘‘Okkadu’Arjun’, GunaSekhar is now set to start his upcoming venture starring Allu Arjun in the lead cast.
Allu Arjun has a considerable number of hits under his belt including ‘Desamuduru’, ‘Happy’, ‘Arya’ and ‘Parugu’ with a famous title as style star. With both of them coming together, the movie should have a tight script to justify the amalgamation.
DVV Danayya produces the film on Universal Media banner. Sources have revealed that the film will start shooting from March 21st.
Music of Anandha Thandavam to be out on 13th March
Starring Siddharth and Tamanna as hero and heroine, ‘Anandha Thandavam’ is directed by AR Gandhi Krishna and produced by V. Ravi Chandran on Aaskar Films banner. The audio launch function of the film will be held on 13th March.
Aaskar Ravichandran’s audio releases have so far been breaking records in the chart and musical score of ‘Anandha Thandavam’ composed by GV Prakash Kumar, AR Rahman’s nephew is expected to recreate the magic of the production banner.
Based on a romantic thriller plot penned by late writer Sujatha, the movie packs essential elements of love, tragedy and thrills all the way to keep people entertained. With taunt editing and splendorous visualization, the trailer has opened to a good response among distributors and general audience.
Pinning hopes on it, co-producer D. Suresh says that the film shot at eye captivating foreign locales with a fresh cast and mellifluous songs will sure be a super hit.
Lyrics for the songs are penned by Suddala AshokTeja, BhuvanaChandra and Vanamali. The movie is slated for Ugadi release by the end of March in Telugu and Tamil.
Dasari s Mestry releasing on March 11
Starring Dasari Narayana Rao, Mohan Babu and Srihari in the cast, ‘Mestri’ is directed by Suresh Krishna and produced by K.Ramakrishna on Siri Media Pvt Ltd banner. Dasari Padma presents the film which is fast shaping up to get released on 11th March.
The plot of ‘Mestri’ is a sensational film which mirrors the events and occurrences of real life scenario in contemporary times.
Ramakrishna arranging a press meet said, “We have made the movie to rekindle the passion in a script that brings realistic characters on-screen. The audio released on 23rd February are breaking record sales with over 3 lakh and 50 thousands collected so far. The latest trailers screened in over 200 centers have gained a great patronage. The efficacy of Dasari Narayana Rao will be seen once again after five years with this film.”
18-20 Love Story getting ready for release
The film titled 18-20 Love Story is getting ready for release in the last week of March.
This film is being produced by T Nageswar Rao and Koppula Ramesh and introduces Rinil Taut and Manoj as the young romantic pair. Shivaji and Shraddha Das play the lead pair with Vinod Kumar playing an important role. This film is directed by Radhakrishna.
The film has completed its shooting and the post-production works are in progress.
The star cast of the film includes Chinna, MS Narayana, Bharani Shankar, Chitram Srinu, Uttej, Kamal, Srinivas, Jhansi and others.

Siddharth Want to remake Pathala Bhairavi
Siddharth is very selective in choosing his roles, and this exclusivity has made an enviable run in the Indian film industry. He is also a credited screenwriter and playback singer.
After nearly two years of lying low from Tollywood with the failure of Aata, diehard optimist Siddharth is now back with his latest Koncham Ishtanga Koncham Kashtanga (KIKK), directed by Kishore, starring Tamannaah in the female lead. Based on the consequences faced by children due to the parents' ego, the film was released on 5th February.
When asked about rumours that he is likely to remake Imtiaz Ali's Bollywood romantic comedy Jab We Met (2007) starring Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, Siddharth reportedly said he is not interested in remaking movies. "People have approached me to do a remake of Jab We Met, but I decided to opt out. If I ever do a remake, I’d choose one that’s a few decades old, which the present-day audience is not familiar with. If I'd chose to remake an old film, it would be Pathala Bhairavi (1960),” Siddharth was quoted as saying.
Chakri To Direct Venkatesh
If fortunes have to make a turn around then they should like the way they have for Chakri, from being a novice actors a few years ago he became a director with moderate hits like Homam and Siddham and now he has Venkatesh and Kamal Hassan in his next film.The film is the Telugu remake of the popular Hindi film A Wednesday and the icing on the cake is that he has Kamal and UTV producing it, and that for Chakri means great publicity and far reach.
Sure a great opportunity for the director to prove himself!
NTR Thrilled
NTR is mighty impressed with the way his latest movie with V V Vinayak is shaping up, the film is a mass entertainer as all NTR films are, but it has some special masala effects to lure the audience like never before, the songs are also coming up well.
Bringing up the topic of songs, what are songs in a NTR film without good dances and what is dance without a good dancing partner, NTR is mighty impressed with the way his heroine Nayantara is catching up with her dance steps in the film, he is so impressed with the actress that he calls her the best female dancer in south films.
NTR is thrilled about dancing with Nayantara, he says the chemistry between him and the heroine will be seen on screen, in the meanwhile Nayan too is mighty happy about the compliments she is getting. Let us wait how this film will shape up for the audience.

A film chosen after reading 8-9 scripts should have something interesting for Hansika, as she has zeroed down on doing a film with Kalyan Ram after so much contemplation, the reason says the actress is that she wanted to try her hand on comedy and her character in this film provides ample scope for it.

Vikram’s Mallanna releasing in 5 languages
This film is being planned to be simultaneously released in 5 languages : Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Italian and Spanish.
This film, in which Vikram dons ten different roles, has completed its shooting and the post-production work is in progress.
The audio of the music of the film composed by Devi Sri Prasad is planned to be released on Ugadi day. The film will be released in May.
Kick is slated for an April release
Ravi Teja who had a bitter 2008 with his two films Baladhoor and Neninthe tumbling at the box office is setting all his eyes on April 2009. His latest flick titled “Kick” is going to release in the first week of April and Ravi Teja is confident that this movie will be a family entertainer.
Actress Ileana is acting in this movie as a female lead and hopes that this movie will again brighten her acting chances in the film industry. Surrender Reddy is directing this movie under RR movies banner.
The movie has Rasool in the cinematography department and this is said to be a highlight to the film. As usual Ravi Teja will be seen in a typical youth oriented role and the story will be based on a real life incident. Krishnudu of Vinayakudu fame is going to act in another film as solo hero. This film is going to be titled as ‘Yamalokamlo Seenu Gadu’. This socio-fantasy is going to be directed by Kodi Rama Krishna. KV Rao produces it. This film will be launched in the month of March.
The versatile actor Siva Balaji who has several blockbuster Telugu films ‘Aarya,’ ‘Sankranthi,’ ‘Annavaram’ and ‘Chandamama’ to his credit and the noted actress Madhumitha who acted in films like ‘Manmadhudu,’ ‘Amailu Abhailu’ and many more will enter into the wedlock on March 1st. Charmy - Kiss rate is Rs.2 lakhs
Charmy is the heroine who would go to extremes, only her concern is money, recently her flick '16 Days' released and apart from this she has many flicks in hand as well she is doing in item songs and charging Rs.25 lakhs. She exhibited the same speed in the flick 16 Days with a new hero. These kiss scenes were used for publicity of flick for which its heard that she demanded Rs.2 lakhs more is the talk in the industry. So she made it clear that for one kiss her rate is Rs.2 lakhs.

Siddardh signed film for Bellamkonda Suresh
The results of Siddardh’s ‘Konchem Istam Konchem Kastam’ may not be as impressive as expected. Yet, our hero, being a practical man doesn’t seem to be worried much about KIKK’s misses. Therefore, he is now concentrating on his current project ‘Oye’ co-starring Shamili. This film also has a debut director, by name Anand,produced by DVV Danaiah. ‘Oye’ is yet another beautiful romantic flick of Siddardh’s that is going to hit theaters in mid of May.
Now knowing that KIKK’s business is ‘Konchem Kastam’ at box-office, he has decided not to wait until the release of ‘Oye’. Hence he is now joining hands with Bellamkonda Suresh for yet another project to be directed again by a debutant Rambabu. It seems Rambabu worked as an assistant director for many films in the past including that of KIKK. The film is likely to go on sets soon.
Sunil On A High
| Sunil is on a different high now-a-days what with he getting a plump role in the film Varudu, the film is directed by Trivikram and has Mahesh babu as the hero, Sunil says its been sometime that he has done a full length comedy role in a film and Varudu is offering this for him. Trivikram seems to have great confidence in Sunil as a comedy actor, earlier he had offered a big role to Sunil in Malleshwari and Sunil did great justice to that role. Keeping in mind that the director and comedian duo have given some memorable moments earlier one can expect that there would be some great laughs on offer even in Varudu. |
